FAU DANCE MARATHON A PROGRAM TO BENEFIT CHILDREN’S MIRACLE NETWORK

To all organizations and event planners, Gary Goodman has made a believer out of me. After reading that past sentence you probably have no idea what I mean by that but I will love to explain. Mr. Goodman specializes in magic, as well as hypnosis. Now as for the magic, that’s all fun and games but for the hypnosis I figured all of that was just a big hoax and that it was all staged. This year I was the overall coordinator for FAU’s Dance Marathon, which is a large student run event that benefits the children’s miracle network. Mr. Goodman was incredibly generous in donating his services free of charge to help benefit this event. I was incredibly skeptical at first when he told me that he would be performing hypnosis to the crowd members of my event. I figured it would be interesting to try but I was scared that it would not work and people would be upset, but as he prepared this interesting music came over the loud speakers and something about it just made you focus your attention and realize something was about to happen. Once on stage he brought up the members of the crowd to be hypnotized, and I watched one after the other go into a deep trance. At this point I was still skeptical and I figured hey, that’s nothing special, but the next thing I know he has people that I know personally well up dancing around like they are in a music video. These people doing this were quiet, shy, and reserved, and would NEVER have done some of the things he had them do on stage. It was amazing, everyone in the crowd watching this was having a blast, people were going right along with anything he told them to do and by the time that the show was over, everyone wish that it could last longer. After the event was over all the next few days, his show dominated the topic of all the people that did attend the event. As you can see, he made a believer out of me, and I would tell anyone that is planning a large event, weather it be a large conference, philanthropy like I planned, or any gathering of people, you would be making a mistake if you didn’t get Mr. Goodman to your event. On top of being very good at what he does, he is incredibly professional and easy to deal with. He is willing to work with your needs and make it happen, which is rare to find with a good entertainer.
